Anna Sui Black UV Primer Water

[unpaid/sample/ad] I’ve had this product since well before lock-down but only just had a proper look and test.

Anna Sui Black UV Primer SPF30

It’s more of a priming milk than a water, in my opinion, as it comes out of the bottle as a white fluid and I associate waters with clarity but that’s really just splitting hairs. I am kicking myself somewhat for not giving it the immediate attention that I now realise it deserves. If you don’t like the weight of facial SPF, your solution lies here – this feels almost like a serum rather than primer and is loaded with moisture to keep your complexion feeling flexible and hydrated.

Anna Sui Black UV Primer SPF30

It’s not for lying in the sun with – it shields from day to day incidental sun and feels exactly as though you’ve just added a moisture milk or serum. I haven’t put it to the stay-all-day test – I’m hardly wearing any make up especially now my tone has warmed up and I’m not even wearing base on a daily basis – so I can’t say how well it helps your foundation to say put – but as a shielding primer it’s really one of the nicest I’ve come across. Japanese-formulated brands (or any Asian brands) tend to formulate with high heat and humidity in mind so are often a good bet for when the weather ramps up in the UK. This is fragranced – a lovely fresh rose scent – so if you don’t like perfumed skin care, it’s not for you. Otherwise, at £19, as a daily primer or even just on its own as a shield for your early morning or evening run or walk, I think it’s a really good buy at 150ml for £19. I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that because on Beauty Bay it’s restricted to two bottles per purchase. You can find it HERE, non affiliate HERE.
