Neela Vermeire Creations 10 Years

Hey Posse. Can you believe that Neela Vermeire Creations first three perfumes were previewed and released in 2011? How is that even possible? It seems like only yesterday. Since then I have bought at least one bottle of every scent, become firm friends with Neela and her husband T, had a blog for 8 years (Australian Perfume Junkies), met Jin and married him and so much more. Ten years have flashed by in the blink of an eye. Though I had loved perfume my whole life and followed the designers releases assiduously it wasn’t until I found all you guys online that my collecting became a true mania. Then Neela Vermeire Creations came along and everything I thought I knew about perfume was thrown sideways.

Neela Vermeire Creations 10 Years

So, in honour of my buddy Neela and her phenomenal successes I thought we could revisit the original three offerings from her Neela Vermeire Collections.

Bombay Bling

Bombay Bling is the tropical fruity fragrance that progresses to a fruity floral and dries down to a fruity tobacco/woods. The story and development are second to none with hints throughout that it may tip over the edge into too much but manages to walk the line brilliantly. For me it will always be Jin’s scent. From day one he was drawn to its fun and drama. He loves it so much Bombay Bling was his choice of fragrance for our wedding day.

One rose to rule them all! Mohur is my rose fragrance. Yes, there are dozens of others in my collection but the jammy, dark, spicy blend with its rich tapestry of notes and moods is my number one by far. I think it’s a perfect fit for me because it is so multifaceted the ride feels different every time. The roses stay the same lavish and luxurious waft but everything around them plays a different tune. If ever you smell roses on my person then it’s a pretty good chance I’m wearing Mohur.

Trayee was hailed by many as the masterpiece of the original trio but it took me a while to appreciate its textured incense with the works. I’m not sure why either because now that I get it everyone’s raving makes a lot of sense. Looking at the note list it should have been my first true love from the start. A spicy fruit opening offset by greenery. The heart smooth resins and rich jasmine given lift and life by clove & cardamom. Lastly, a vanilla sweet amber surrounded by woods and grasses with a heavy, smoky incense wafting through.
